The LGS Research Foundation has the objective of innovation in Social Issues. The innovation followed by implementation in the root levels of Rural India is considered. The projects are considered with the 3 levels of necessity: Basic Living, Sustainability and Skill Enhancement.

Vision:

LGS Research Foundation works to achieve

1)   Enhancement of Farm Models enabled with sustainable traditional principles based on Natural Farming

2)   Implementation of Sustainable Farm Practice models in collaboration with Remote Sensing technology partnerts

3)   Innovating the solutions using the existing technologies that can resolve existing social issues in Farming, Rural Development and Social Entrepreneurship model

4)   Including Social Innovation models in the college levels

5)   Collaborations with Farmer Produce Organizations to enhance the rural income

Mission:

1)   Work with FPO’s to understand the real time issues in farming

2)   Work with APMC Agents to know the pricing model

3)   Work with Engineering Students to push towards Social Entrepreneurship Models

4)   Conducting Social Innovation and Workshops among Students

5)   Create awareness among Farmers by imparting skills to Rural Engineering Students

6)   Illustrate the real time issues among students by conducting field visits

7) Adoption of advanced technologies by attending the workshops

About Director: B G Shivanna

B G Shivanna is a Retired Government High Schook Physical Education teacher. He is qualified with B.A., M.P.Ed, University Rank 3, with the immense experience in Red Cross, Scouts and Guides (Himalayan Wood Badge holder) along with NSS Activities. He has 20+ years of experience in social and cultural activities. He was awarded with KARNATAKA STATE EXCELLENCE AWARD from Governor of Karnataka on 05/02/1998 considering his work to the society along with teaching. He has a pride of coaching the Government School students to National Level Kabaddi Championship. Out of many students trained, couple of them are in Kabaddi Girls National Team. Currently he is the director of LGS Research Foundation and is helping in localizing the farmers for Natural Farming awareness.
